About me
Education and experience
I'm a psychologist offering psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups in Midtown Manhattan and online.
I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Houston, after studying psychology as an undergraduate at Rutgers University. My research looked at anger in romantic relationships, and in particular how attachment anxiety shapes the way people express it.
I then completed a four-year postdoctoral certification in psychoanalysis at the William Alanson White Institute. That training combines coursework, years of clinical supervision and personal analysis, and it informs how I listen and work with every client.
Before starting my private practice, I trained at university counseling centers at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Houston, at a veterans hospital, and at several anxiety treatment centers in New York City.
